A painting by a leading French painter and graphic artist of the 19th century, an author who, through his friendship with members of the Impressionist movement, overcame the academic approach to a bright and vibrant color palette, which is extremely rare on the Czech art market. In addition to painting in the most prestigious cultural centers of Paris, such as the local town hall (Hôtel de ville), Collin became famous as a professor of the first generation of Japanese academic painters, especially from the Tokyo School of Fine Arts. For that reason, he is also extremely valued not only in his native France, but also in Japan.
