Acrylic on canvas, signed and dated on back on the stretcher frame "K.Št. 2010". Karenina Štenclová is one of the few painters on the Czech scene to have focused purely on abstract painting over a long period. She began experimenting with colour and image during her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague between 1982 and 1988. From the monochromatic canvasses that she created in the 1990s she moved on to the free gestural painting she still goes in for to this day.
