1960s
monotype, paper
17 x 20 cm (h x w)

| 250 €
Throughout his life and work, Ota Janeček always gravitated toward contemporary scientific knowledge and was not afraid to incorporate it into his own work, as evidenced by his piece Cell, which reflects the author's deep interest in the fundamental building blocks of all life. Janeček began exploring the laws of the microcosm in the 1960s, when he created the first paintings from the Organisms and Cells series. The presented work is a characteristic example of the work of this collector's favorite author, who captivated both children and adult audiences throughout the second half of the 20th century with his inquisitive approach. The work comes from the important collection of Jiří Šetlík.
