Marco Zanini (1954) "COLORADO" TEAPOT

The "Colorado" teapot by Marco Zanini combines vibrant color combinations with imaginative geometric lines, possibly referencing hydraulic mechanisms. It is an iconic design for the postmodern Milanese group Memphis. The designer has worked as an architect and designer in Japan, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Colombia, Chile, and Spain. His works are exhibited in many museums and private collections. Zanini often gives lectures on industrial design. The teapot comes from the important collection of artist and collector Ivan Steiger, who purchased it in the 1980s.
