A woodcut of medieval Prague, originally from Liber Chronicarum, also known as the Nuremberg Chronicle, was published by A. Koberger in Nuremberg. At the end of the 15th century, it was one of the most valuable early printed books, an encyclopedia of world history richly illustrated, and the cityscapes are not only aesthetically valuable but also a valuable historical document. Wilhelm Pleydenwurff and Michael Wolgemut worked as engravers. The book was revolutionary in that the printed illustrations appeared both separately on sheets and in the middle of the text block. This set a higher aesthetic standard for book publishers. The print is glued in the middle, the left edge is misprinted, and the print area of the veduta is 19.5 x 52 cm.
