Hugo Demartini is undoubtedly one of the most prominent figures in Czech sculpture of the second half of the 20th century. He presented his distinct artistic vision through strict geometry intertwined with colors, wood, and metal. According to PhDr. Jiří Machalický's assessment, this is a programmatic system that Demartini honed to perfection and worked on in nature, where he combined chance with geometrically perfect shapes. "In his demonstrations in space, he captured time standing still." Mgr. Marcel Fišel, Ph.D., also commented on the work, saying that the Cheb Spatial Relief from 1965 could be a good reference point for determining the date of the work—the technological specifications of the work, such as the shade of color and the method of patination, correspond exactly. The technological similarity and difference in content speak to the unambiguous authenticity of the work and also reveal the artist's creative direction. The authenticity of the work was also confirmed by Prof. František Hodonský, who met Demartini while he worked at the Academy of Fine Arts.
