The 1970s brought urgency to Jiří Anderle's work. The characters are participants in depraved acts, fighting for their lives, and are a reflection of criticism of society and the regime in which they find themselves. Individual freedom is suppressed and confined within a framework of twisted grimaces and bodies, which the artist "X-rays" using artistic means.
