Matěj Lipavský (1985) DOVECOTE

The landscape dominates Lipavský’s works, which are often surprising for their unexpected neon color range.  The red dovecote is complemented by the evening light situation in bright warm tones. The motif of the birdhouse does not appear for the first time in the work of Matěj Lipavský, he has already processed it in the medium of painting and graphics.

Matěj Lipavský was born in Prague and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under Jiří Sopko, Igor Korpaczewski and Jindřich Zeithamml. He is primarily an illustrator (Věra Jirousová: Tweety 1956-1963, Tomáš Gabriel: Prequel, Táňa Maljarčuková: Bestiář).
