Jaroslav Bejček (1926 - 1986) DANCE

Jaroslav Bejček was a multi-talented personality who was active in painting and sculpture, illustration, graphic art, mosaics and also professionally devoted himself to Chinese art even in times when it was not politically appropriate. The work Dance reveals his distinctly sculptural construction of composition with allusions to the work of Henry Moore and Joan Miró, who influenced him greatly. Thanks to his specific shape reduction, Jaroslav Bejček was also very fond of pre-Columbian sculptures - part of his inspiration may have come from this source.
