Anton Weinberger (1843 - 1912) FOX AND HARES

A painter of landscapes and animals, he studied at the Munich Academy with Hiltensperger and Strähuber, then with A. Schleich and Erxleben. Weinberger's work is characterised by idealised portraits of animals, especially game and hunting dogs. They are mostly seen in autumn or winter landscapes.
