František Brunner Dvořák (1862 - 1927) KIDS IN THE WINDOW

A virtually forgotten academic painter of the late 19th and early 20th centuries in Bohemia, a portraitist and genre painter, his conservative approach went demonstratively against all modernist tendencies of the time. After studying at the Prague Academy in Jaroslav Čermák's studio, he continued his studies in Vienna and Munich. In addition to detailed pastels in the spirit of Art Nouveau Symbolism, he also created impressionistic landscapes and portraits.
