After Petr Holeček discovers the technique of casting bronze into a lost mould, his artistic work takes a fundamental turn. This material and technology allows him to materialize previously unrealized thoughts and ideas. It is this work, using the almost unlimited possibilities of this technique, that expresses the metaphor of psychological heaviness, which in the sculpture lyrically floats above the darker and coarser matter like an imaginary bubble. In the artist's work, he gradually abandons abstract representation and the bronze sculptures take on an increasingly figurative character. He regularly participates in major sculpture exhibitions in Ireland, and has also exhibited in Poland and the Czech Republic. In 2010 he was awarded the Mill Cove Award at The 25th Sculpture in Context Exhibition in Ireland.
