The print does not deny that the author is primarily a printing artist. The work was created by merging two radically different matrices. In the centre of the composition, the precise drawing of the photogravure is combined with the erratic nature of the oxidised zinc surface, which brings texture and structural randomness to the image. The motif of a female nude with her back turned bears an inscribed sign - a stick, a three-pointed mark reminiscent of an archaic symbol or rune. The hands, folded behind the back in a geometric shape, evoke the tension between control and surrender, between intimacy and alienation. Like most of the artist's works, the resulting print is not just an image, but above all a record of a printing event in which image meets matter to bear the traces of its own transformation.
