Josef Václav Myslbek (1848 - 1922) SAINT VENCESLAS

Study casting of the mask of St. Wenceslas for the competition announced on the dominant feature of Wenceslas Square in Prague. In the end, this version of the saint's appearance was not realized - St. Wenceslas turned from a saint into a warrior and Josef Václav Myslbek depicted him with a helmet. The work comes from the collection of the metalworker Karel Barták.
