Josef Procházka (1909 - 1984) FOREST IN AUTUMN

Josef Procházka was a pupil of Prof. Nejedlý and became famous as a master landscape painter. His landscapes imitate lighting situations quite faithfully, the textures are elaborated almost photorealistically and the landscape is enlivened by a suggested figurative stagia, which is engaged in its normal daily activities. Josef Procházka demonstrates his timelessness in his extraordinary feeling for the moods of the landscape, which gives one the impression of an immediate experience in the depicted place.
