Marie Louise of Habsburg-Lorraine was the second wife of Napoleon I Bonaparte. Although she married by proxy for political reasons, the marriage was a happy one.

In his letter to Victoria, he thanks her for her two letters and says that he is looking forward to returning to Vienna in early October. He pleads for Victoria to extend her stay in Vienna at least until then. She comments that her health is good and that she regularly indulges in baths to strengthen her chest. She is sure that when she sees herself she will be in better health. She sends kisses to the children. Signed: Marie Louise, 18 October 1814
