Olbram Zoubek (1926 - 2017) TOWARDS FREEDOM

Olbram Zoubek often embellished his sculptures with gilding and polychrome. "I am a contemporary person and a traditionalist at the same time. I make sculptures as they have been made since time immemorial. And in all periods of art history, sculptures have been coloured," says Olbram Zoubek, who at one time favoured gilding cement and tin sculptures. The offered sculpture "Towards Freedom" from 1994 was awarded on the occasion of the Rudolf Medek Prize. The work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the Kmentová Zoubek Foundation by PhDr. Polana Bregantová.
