An impressive depiction of the rescue of an injured girl on a cliff in the mountains, to which a man is rappelling down on a rope. The brushwork, realistic rural theme, and some legible parts of the signature are reminiscent of the free works of Franz von Lenbach, who also worked with a looser brushstroke and knew how to arrange figures in dramatic positions.
