František Daněk - Sedláček is one of those painters with a very active painting career, whom we can still discover and who are enjoying growing popularity. A major theme in the artist's work is village life - ordinary people, the countryside, and the harvest and haymaking. František Daněk-Sedláček focused mainly on landscape painting. He liked to view the views of the region, forest interiors, vistas through the forest, stream nooks, old alleys and castles, less often still lifes.
