Jan Vaněk (1891 - 1962) TWO DESIGN CHAIRS

Two designer armchairs by Jan Vaněk, a prominent Czech furniture manufacturer, architect, and co-founder of Spojené uměleckoprůmyslové závody (United Arts and Crafts Works). He worked with prominent architects of his time, such as Jan Kotěra and Josef Gočár, and was involved in furnishing the Tugendhat Villa, among other projects. His furniture stands out for its clean and timeless lines. He designed the model of the armchair on offer at the end of his career, around the time of Expo 1958, and it belongs to the Brussels style. Completely restored.
