Northern India, Kashmir, circa 1960. A very unusual and truly massive Indian carpet, hand-knotted from refined cotton (a blend of natural silk and cotton) on a cotton warp. Unique so-called garden design in a cassette composition in unusual colors. Professionally cleaned on both sides.
