In 1915 Sucharda became the first professor of the medal school at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. His work increased interest in relief sculpture and medal making. Fairy tale elements appear in his work, Vrba being inspired by the work of Karel Jaromír Erben - The Bouquet.
