Jaroslav Horejc (1886 - 1983) LOVERS

In the 1940s, Horejc's expression returned in a way to Rodin from the beginning of the century. Rodin's very lively neo-baroque and expressive elements suited Czech sculptors exceptionally well, especially in view of the revived domestic baroque tradition. The dimensions given include the pedestal. This is a later cast. Defects: minor repairs and abrasions on the patina.
