Jan Štursa (1880 - 1925) MELANCHOLIC GIRL

Man and his physicality are among the fundamental themes of Štursa's work. Female nudity became his most frequent motif, which he approached in a wide range of styles, from lyrical conception to erotic sensualism. A number of drawings and sketches were also created for this sculpture. It is one of Štursa's most popular and widespread works. This is a later cast.
