ROCOCO STYLE MIRROR

A decorative mirror with a richly shaped, decorated, and gilded frame. At the top of the frame is a cartouche with a painting depicting a gallant rural scene – a lady and a gentleman sitting at a table in a garden setting (the scene appears slightly idealized, with a touch of bored elegance). The whole piece is an example of historicist work inspired by Rococo, but probably created at the beginning of the 20th century, when similar decorative mirrors were popular in bourgeois interiors. Good condition.
