Josef Mařatka (1874 - 1937) DYNAMIC DRAWING

Josef Mařatka was inspired by the spontaneous drawings of Auguste Rodin, whose student he was from 1901 to 1904. He was fascinated by movement. The drawing presented here is part of a larger series of studies of dancers, depicting Ruth Saint-Denis.
