ERSARI ANTIQUE CARPET

Hand-knotted wool carpet on a goat hair warp with a kilim border decorated with an indigo blue stripe. An authentic carpet from the Ersari Turkmen tribe, with a dark goat hair warp, classic sheep wool pile, and longer edges at least partially wrapped in goat hair. The design is typical, consisting of octagonal medallions (octagons), nicknamed "göly" (translated as roses or rosettes), complemented by secondary motifs in the field.
