Otto Gutfreund (1889 - 1927) HEAD OF VIKI

Although Gutfreund was inspired by the works of the Parisian Cubists, he realized that he had to develop the principles of the Cubist concept of form in sculpture himself. He tested his ideas and approaches in the construction of the head of Viki, which he subordinated primarily to its relationship to space. The chosen approach was also indicated by the preparatory drawings made for it. Later cast.
