Václav Brožík (1851 - 1901) COUNTESS ON A RIDE

From the assessment by PhDr. Naděžda Blažíčková-Horová: "The submitted study of miniature dimensions is unsigned, but bears the seal of Brožík's estate and is undoubtedly a charming work by Václav Brožík. It was probably created before 1900 and immediately in two almost identical versions in terms of theme and format. Brožík had been ill since the late 1890s, so he slowly abandoned the world of large formats and painted only sketches or studies, as well as drawing. At that time, he created a large number of landscape and figural studies in cabinet size."
