Joseph Caiaphas was a Jewish high priest who played a significant role in condemning Jesus of Nazareth to death for blasphemy, claiming to be the Messiah. Caiaphas argued in the Sanhedrin that it was better for one man to die than for the whole nation to be destroyed (John 18:14). The glass is cracked diagonally.
