Around 1900, Jaroslav Panuška created several works that appear fantastical and demonic, featuring slender, corpse-like apparitions and vampires who reach out their long, sinewy, sharp claws toward people and attempt to seize them. This dark fascination with decadent themes is probably the most interesting aspect of Jaroslav Panuška's work.
