CUP AND SAUCER VIENNA

Cup with a rounded handle, its outer surface fully covered in glossy gold. The interior of the cup and the entire saucer are richly decorated with a floral motif: along the outer rim, large pink roses with buds alternate in a regular pattern, complemented by golden leaves. In the central area of both pieces, there is a gilded wreath of scrollwork ending in a stylized rosette medallion. The overall impression is one of great festivity and luxury, characteristic of the late Biedermeier style. Produced by the Sorgenthal-era Vienna porcelain manufactory.

Damage: minor abrasions in the paint and gilding.
