Anton Kothgasser (1769 - 1851) BIEDERMEIER BEAKER WITH CARDS

Beaker with a richly cut foot highlighted by yellow stain, decorated with three playing cards and a gilded, likely hand-painted dedication on the reverse. The inscription likely reads: “Hat Fernande Wund’, Pagat und Wüs / So ist ein schönes Spiel, genieß.” An example of Viennese glass painting from the Biedermeier period.
