BAROQUE GOBLET

Baroque goblet on a wide, flat foot with a baluster-shaped, faceted stem containing embedded gold and ruby-red threads. The conical bowl bears an engraved Austrian coat of arms with the inscription AVGVSTISSIMA PATRONANZA, as well as the coats of arms of Silesia and the Czech lands. Surrounding the Austrian emblem are depictions of banners, cannons, sabres, and rich scrollwork ornamentation. A matte border decorates both the upper rim of the bowl and the edge of the foot.
