BAROQUE HERALDIC GLASS

Baroque glass made of thick-walled clear glass with an engraved coat of arms (Wappen des Stiftes Tepl. bei Marienbad – Klosterwappen). On the reverse side, an engraved view of the monastery with the inscription: KRUKANITZ SE AN CILLAM / SPON DEBIT INFESTIS and the annotation: Krukanitz verpflichtet sich zu den Feiertagen dienstbar zu sein 1710 ("Krukanitz commits to serving on feast days, 1710"). The undecorated areas are filled with floral scrollwork. A band of cutting decorates the lower edge. Provenance: collection of Mr. Just.
