BAROQUE GOBLET WITH A LID

Baroque lidded goblet on a wide, flat foot with engraved scrollwork decoration and a faceted baluster stem containing embedded gold and ruby-red threads. The faceted bowl features a theological motif: a burning heart on a pyre, engraved with the number 3, above which is a triangle with three disks symbolizing the Holy Trinity. Scrollwork ornamentation with the depiction of an eagle is also present along the rim of the bowl. The lid is decorated with matching scrollwork and topped with a faceted finial containing embedded gold and ruby-red threads.

Damage: crack in the lid and the foot.
