SHEPHERDESS MEISSEN

Porcelain figural sculpture depicting a young shepherdess leaning against a stylized tree stump, with a sheep resting its head on her lap. The shepherdess is dressed in richly decorated floral garments with a corseted bodice in shades of green, purple, and pink, and wears an elegant hat with a purple brim and a flower. She holds a shepherd’s crook in one hand. The base is asymmetrical, adorned with scrollwork and raised gilt accents in the rocaille style.
