The sculpture depicts an exotic parrot perched on a tree branch with painted leaves. The bird's body is painted in vibrant tones: blue, turquoise, pink, and yellow. The tree is stylized with white glaze and green accents. The base is distinctly asymmetrical and decorative, in the Rococo style (cartouche-shaped with acanthus leaves). Produced in Meissen.
