Footed cup with a richly gilded volute-shaped handle and a gilded upper rim. On the front of the cup is a finely hand-painted allegorical scene: a woman with pink wings in classical dress holds an olive branch and stands beside a serpent—likely an allegory of Peace or Temperance. The scene is set within an idealized landscape with a rocky backdrop. The cup is decorated in a deep orange color and lavish gilding, including a golden branch and a motif of a serpent coiled around a staff. The saucer is decorated in matching deep orange, with a central white medallion framed by a wreath of small leaves. The wide rim is adorned with a combination of golden foliate motifs and a palmette border. Produced by the Sorgenthal-era Vienna porcelain manufactory.

Damage: minor abrasions to the gilding in some areas.
