August Böhm (1812 - 1890) BIEDERMEIER GLASS

Glass goblet made of clear glass with a flaring shape, overlaid with ruby glass. Cut lenses with foliate scrollwork on the rear section. In the central medallion, an engraved scene probably depicting the Battle of Leipzig – a soldier with a horse in the foreground, two lancers in the background. Ornamented with impasto gold decoration. Provenance: Collection of Mr. Just. Defect: Gilding slightly scratched at the rim.
