Blanka Adensanová (1949) A GOOD YEAR 1989

In the 1980s, the author stopped blowing glass and began working with molten plastic. She set up two of her own melting furnaces in southern Bohemia. Blanka Adensamová belongs to a generation that has recently surprised us with its unique development of glass art; her work has an unmistakable influence among all those who are successfully continuing the rich tradition today and, building on the work of their immediate predecessors, demonstrate an impressive degree of technical invention and personal vision. From 1967 to 1970, she studied at the Secondary School of Glassmaking in Železný Brod, and from 1970 to 1976 at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in the special studio of Prof. Stanislav Libenský.
