Alfons Mucha (1860 - 1939) FEATHER

A very rare example of a relief sculpture in brass by an important representative of Art Nouveau, Alfons Mucha. It is a spatial variation on the artist's well-known work Feather, which together with Petrklíč formed a pair of paintings. The composition is defined by the figure of a woman in profile holding a feather in her hand, which is framed by an Art Nouveau decorative ornament typical of the Art Nouveau movement, highlighting the woman's face. This was probably a bespoke commission intended for interior decoration. New plinth adjustment.
