A rare portrait plaque made of gilded bronze on marble set in an oval brass frame with cut glass depicts Pope Innocent XI (born Benedetto Odescalchi), who served as head of the Catholic Church between 1676 and 1689. He is still widely known in Hungary today for his diplomatic and financial support for the liberation of Hungary from Turkish rule. He was declared blessed in 1956.
