Adolf Born left behind an impressive timeless body of work, full of gentle humor and perfect craftsmanship. He loved cats and dogs and often attributed human roles to them, just as he sometimes made fun of people and attributed grotesque roles to them. The art protis technique belongs to the category of non-woven textiles and is a Czechoslovak patent. The technique is less demanding than tapestry and was used primarily to decorate public buildings with monumental, unique collector's items in formats that the author did not normally create.
