The constructivist depiction of a man with a head covering falls into Lebedev's cubist experiments, in which he tried to capture the range of motion in one particular moment. Russian-Soviet artist Vladimir Lebedev is known around the world mainly for his outstanding works in the field of illustration for children's books. This glory seems to have overshadowed other aspects of his versatile talent with its dazzling light. Because at the same time Lebedev was one of the most universal painters of the Russian avant-garde. He also worked as a graphic designer and theatre set designer.
