Ota Janeček (1919 - 1996) HEAD OF A WOMAN

Between 1955 and 1957, Janeček created a series of portrait drawings, which at that time complemented his paintings of undulating landscapes and geometric cities. In addition, the 1950s saw the creation of the pivotal Grass cycle, which demonstrates the artist's focus on the natural world. The painting on offer displays Janeček's signature style in the depiction of figures, which we also recognize from his illustrations.
