Josef Istler (1919 - 2000) OBJECT

Josef Istler was an important Czech representative of abstraction and informel. A painter, graphic artist, and member of the Ra group, he experimented with the relationships between organic and inorganic forms. We see in them glimpses of the cosmos and projections of his own spirit; the textures of his works are often applied and combined impulsively.
