Jaroslav Šetelík (1881 - 1955) VIEW OF PRAGUE

Jaroslav Šetelík is best known for his brilliant and generously proportioned vedute of Prague in different seasons. He masterfully modeled perspective and partially obscured the familiar landscape with trees, creating striking vistas. His works reveal a perfect sense of color and a talent for working with light, with the cool blue sky contrasting with the muted golden light reflected by the walls of the architecture.
