Wilhelm Schmidt (1880 - 1928) ART NOUVEAU ARMCHAIR

A variant of model 1307 by a prominent representative of Viennese Art Nouveau. Wilhelm Schmidt was an architect and designer, a student of Josef Hoffmann. After 1901, Schmidt was a designer at the Rudnik workshops in Prague. Marked by the manufacturer on the reverse: Prag-Rudniker Korbfabrikation / WIEN / VI. Mariahilferstrasse No 1a.
