GOTHIC TORSE OF CHRIST

The exceptional torsal sculpture of the crucified Jesus Christ is characterised by its expressive typicity, testifying that the sculptor was probably influenced by contemporary Swabian sculpture. Christ has his head resting on his right shoulder, his eyes closed and his mouth half open. His hair is combed into thin strands that fall over his shoulders. On his head is a crown of thorns with a spike and around his waist a porizonium with folds. With remnants of original polychromy and later overpaintings.
